Booming building business has prompted Birmingham-based mechanical services provider JS Wright to strengthen its London team with three new appointments.
Peter Lawrence has joined the design and build specialist as Senior Contracts Engineer, Alan Whyte as Project Engineer, and Phil Barlow as Foreman, all reporting to London and South East Operations Director Paul Featherston.
With almost 40 years’ experience in building services, Peter Lawrence was previously project manager for a former nationwide M&E installer and is now working on a 375- luxury apartment scheme next to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.
Having begun his career as a fitter welder, he has worked in a variety of sectors for high-profile clients including the Dorchester and Langham hotels.
Alan Whyte has joined J S Wright from a services firm in Surrey where he was a mechanical supervisor, having started out 20 years ago as a pipefitter’s mate.
He is currently working on the fit-out of 90 affordable and supported homes on the site of the former Newman House office block in Horley.
Phil Barlow is currently based on site at Fulham Wharf where is supervising the installation of services for a first-phase of 267 new apartments.
Previously a pipe fitter and chargehand with a mechanical services specialist in London, Phil has worked on major developments such as Broadgate Street, North Middlesex Hospital, and Live 1 student accommodation at Aldgate East.
Paul Featherston said: “I am delighted that Peter, Alan and Phil are providing us with their experience and expertise as J S Wright’s business continues to expand steadily throughout London and the South East.”
J S Wright, which has its head office in Aston and an office at Trafalgar Square in London, is a specialist provider of mechanical services to the residential, hotel, student accommodation, leisure and commercial sectors.
