Mather Jamie is helping to breathe new life into Loughborough’s town centre after successfully finding premises for three new businesses.
The commercial property specialist has let a total of 180 sq metres (1,946 sq ft) of retail space to a number of new business start-ups.
The retail space includes 49 Market Street, which has become a new cafe, 67 Ashby Road, which has been converted into a hairdressers, and 27 Biggin Street, which is a new tanning shop.
Suzannah Adcock of Mather Jamie comments: “We’re delighted to have found new tenants for these previously vacant premises so quickly.
“Over the last few months we have seen an increase in the number of new business start-ups in Loughborough and as a result, smaller retail spaces are attracting a lot of interest.
“We’re currently seeing more business start-ups requiring premises which shows growing confidence in the economy.
“The emergence of these new businesses demonstrates that people are looking to invest in the town once again.
“In recent years, there has been a growing turnover of small retail premises within Loughborough, so we are pleased to be helping to bring new businesses to the town centre and make it a more varied and interesting place for people to visit with these new independent businesses.
“The key to creating a destination shoppers want to visit is to offer more leisure-based experiences and dining experiences within the town centre, and that’s exactly what we’re achieving here.
“Businesses wanting retail space in a prominent location in the town centre are now encouraged to contact us to find out more about current availability.”
