Evidence that the numbers of enquiries for high quality industrial units continues to increase has resulted in seven industrial units at Fairway Business Centre in Eastern Road, Portsmouth being sold or let in as many months.
The most recent transaction completed by commercial agents Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell was the £150,000 sale of two adjacent units, which together total 2,600 sq ft, to a specialist classic car storage business. A few weeks previously, major local building contractor, Vale Builders Southern acquired 2,500 sq ft at Unit 20 which is now the business’ new HQ.
Deals for the remaining four units were also completed in a matter of weeks including Units 10 & 10a to Akorn Construction Ltd, Unit 19 to Metal Polishing Supplies and Unit 6 to heating contractor AD Mechanical and the well located business centre is almost entirely occupied.
In addition to the agency work, Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has had a long term association with Fairway Business Centre having acted as the managing agent there for many years, thus ensuring that the units are well maintained.
Commenting on the transactions, Tom Holloway, Agency Director at Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell said: “Over the last six months occupier interest in good quality, well located space has continued to improve as confidence in the economy grows. With good transport links to the M27/A3 corridors Fairway Business Park has benefited from firms looking to expand their space requirements within their existing locality.”
