Home efficiency consultants EUM have completed a new five year lease on 2,677 sq ft of office space at Topland Group’s Friars Gate development in Shirley.
The announcement comes as Topland have started construction of a Costa Coffee drive-through facility at Friars Gate, which is due to open for business in June 2014.
Speaking about the company’s move, Mark McAlear of EUM Consultants said:
“Friars Gate provides a perfect match against the criteria we had set out in our search for new premises. As well as the quality of accommodation on offer, proximity to the motorway network and accessibility of local amenities played a key role in our decision. This move will serve us very well for the future.”
Joint letting agents Mark Robinson of KWB and Jon Hinton of GBR Phoenix Beard represented the landlord. Mark commented:
“With occupancy levels currently standing at around 90%, demand for space here is consistently high. Following the letting to EUM our clients have started speculatively refurbishing a further suite of 5,000 sq ft which will be ready in 4 weeks’ time. Given the landlord’s commitment to maintaining extremely high standards, the much improved reception areas on the ground floor, and the addition of a Costa Coffee drive thru due to open in June 2014, we envisage high ongoing levels of interest in the scheme.”
Friars Gate is a landmark office development situated on the Stratford Road, Shirley. The building comprises approximately 70,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation over four floors. Other tenants include the Solihull Care Trust and Energy and Utility Skills Limited.
