The Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is seeking a prominent business leader to join its Board of Directors.
At the same time, the LEP is also looking for new businesses operating in the Solent to join as members.
The Solent LEP board takes responsibility for shaping economic strategy in the region, including the development of a £2.4bn Strategic Economic Plan.
The board is specifically seeking applications from business leaders working in aerospace, aviation, high-end manufacturing, logistics, ports and key international gateways.
LEP membership is open to any business active in the Solent. Members have the opportunity to vote on the way the LEP operates, elect board members and get involved in its important work.
Gary Jeffries, chairman of the Solent LEP, said: “To help us develop the strongest possible economic plan, we are specifically seeking to appoint a senior business leader from a key sector that will complement the existing strengths of the board.
“We also need to increase our membership from the region’s business sector. I hope that we will receive many strong applications from what is a dynamic and innovative business community.”
