NG Chartered Surveyors has acted for New Henna Traders, in a pan-Midlands deal, which has seen the fabric recycling company buy the 73,259 sq ft Lea Hall Bus Garage in Kitts Green, Birmingham, from West Midlands Transport.
Sunny Landa, director of NG, which is based in Nottingham, said: “It’s great to support a deal which enhances our green credentials. New Henna had been searching for a suitable property for three years, and we’re delighted that we’ve been able to help them finally clinch the deal on Lea Hall Bus Garage.”
“New Henna was looking for a flexible, high-quality workforce, and they realised that Birmingham was an ideal place to draw upon that. It’s been a pleasure working with them to find their new home.”
Abid Iqbal, director at New Henna, is delighted with the company’s new premises. He says: “I bought the former Lea Hall Bus Station to open a new collection point for used textiles in the Midlands and surrounding areas.
“This expansion should improve our turnover fourfold over the next few years as the company is growing fast and these premises play a key role in this expansion.”
Abid added: “Sunny at NG has done excellent job in understanding the needs of our business and finding the right property for us. I would rate him as one of the best property advisers I have worked with and would recommend him to others.”
Charles Warrack, associate at Vail Williams, which acted for West Midlands Transport, said: “Our client is delighted to complete this deal, after it found the building was surplus to its operational property portfolio.
“I’d like to wish New Henna all the best for the future, and thank Sunny and the team at NG for completing the deal in a very direct, responsive manner.”
New Henna joins established employers in the area include Alcoa and Carrtech. Lea Hall Bus Station is situated adjacent to the junction of Crossfield Road and Kitts Green Road, 1 mile to the east of Station road (A4040) in Kitts Green.
