An Eastleigh firm that makes prestige homebuyers’ manuals has just celebrated its most successful month so far.
Classic Folios has received orders for more than 9,000 manuals, taking the value of work for the year ahead to over £1 million.
Customers include London developers working on a boom in prime residential projects, which experts say could be worth around £9 billion over the next few years.
Classic Folios’ founder and Managing Director Tim Wood said the company had a customer base of more than 250 developers across the UK with London proving a key area of activity.
He said: “We’ve had our best ever month since we launched in 1996. We are sometimes seen as a barometer of residential property activity and judging by our order book it appears the market is growing more optimistic, especially in London.”
Last month’s London business included a sixth order from Hadley Property Group, a tenth from Ballymore Properties and a new order for 430 packs from developer Mount Anvil.
On the back of the growing order book, Classic Folios has expanded its team with three new members of staff, taking the overall workforce to 17. The new posts are a mix of graduate and apprentice level and involve editorial input to both printed and web-based presentation manuals.
According to a recent report by the built asset consultancy EC Harris, 9,000 units of new prime residential development, worth around £9 billion, is on site or planned for delivery in central London up to 2020.
