myhomemove opens new Manchester HQ at Linley House

myhomemove has signed a new ten-year lease at Linley House, Dickinson Street, Manchester. The award winning conveyancing services company was established in 2000 and has grown rapidly to become one of the leading providers in the country. Advised by Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), Linley House will be a Northern HQ for the business and will lead to the creation of up to 200 jobs.

myhomemove appointed LSH earlier this year to source the right location for its first Northern office. Following a detailed review of the demographics and transport infrastructure of Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester, it became clear Manchester would be the location of choice.

Alison Gibbs, Head of Finance at myhomemove, commented: “As our first Northern base it was important that the chosen location would allow us to attract and retain the right calibre of staff. The bus, rail and Metro link services make Manchester a very accessible city; an important factor for our business and the talented labour pool we have identified here.”

Edwards & Co advised the landlord, United Utilities Property Services, on the lease, which sees myhomemove Ltd take 20,000 sq ft across the fifth and sixth floors at the building. The space has been leased at a rental value of £16.00psf pa.

Andrew Timms, Director of Edwards & Co, said: “Linley House has attracted a number of key deals since the significant £3.6m refurbishment by United Utilities, including LBSF’s 25,000 sq ft, letting, which was the largest transaction in 2011.

“The high quality finish of the space-planning friendly floor plates has met market demand for Grade B office accommodation and provides efficient floor-plates ideal for myhomemove’s occupation. The building’s central location and excellent carparking ratio have all contributed to its success to date.”

Trevor Hosking of United Utilities Property Services added: “We are delighted to welcome myhomemove to Linley House and Manchester – I am sure they will thrive in their new home. Linley House is now 95% let and the remaining suite is under offer”

Adam Jackson, Office Agent at LSH in Manchester said: “The decision to move to the centre of Manchester will really unlock growth potential for myhomemove, taking them to the next stage in what has already been a strong upward trajectory. The creation of 200 new jobs for the area will also ensure that the firm is a welcome addition to the Manchester property scene.”
