Swansea based dezrez – which provides technically advanced software management systems for UK estate agencies and legal conveyancing is doubling staff numbers and already created 30 jobs with support from the Welsh Government.
The £2.7m investment by dezrez is supported by £930,000 business finance from the Welsh Government to create a total of 62 new jobs over the next three years.
The company has already created 30 jobs as it ramps up numbers to develop, launch and roll out new products and meet growing demand.
The project involves refreshing and updating its core product – the dezrez software system that manages all sales and lettings marketing activities; rolling out its new dezrezPM software designed for property management; expanding its dezrezlegal service which provides licensed property conveyancing services to its customer base.
All systems are totally integrated and developed in-house and used by over 20000 estate agents working in 1500 branches in the UK and abroad.
Economy Minister Edwina Hart said:” Dezrez is a Welsh start up company that has continued to expand despite very difficult trading conditions. It has made significant investments in research and development to bring innovative products to the market. It’s great news to hear it is expanding and the Welsh Government is pleased to support this investment that will enable the company to increase sales, remain competitive and create a wide range of skilled jobs.”
Dezrez has not only managed to survive one of the worst property markets in recent history but has grown from strength to strength.
The company developed its property management software systems to meet a new demand. Many agencies expanded into the property management market during the recession as house sales dropped. The product provides a fully integrated marketing and property management solution.
It invested in the region of £750,000, supported by SmartCymru funding, to develop dezrezPM system which is now set to be rolled out across the UK.
Dezrez Operations Director Ross Liddell said:” We work very closely with our clients and were able to respond to the growing demand for integrated software solutions for the property management market. Funding support from the Welsh Government means we can accelerate the roll out and expand quickly to meet the demand and invest heavily in the development team and on new products.”
The growth in the software business has led to increased demand for the in-house conveyancing services provided by Dezrezlegal. Managing Director Laura Liddell said: “We have grown rapidly since the company was founded in 2009, and have really bucked the wider trend in the conveyancing sector having more than doubled in size over the last two years. This support allows the company to invest heavily in staff and systems in order to continue providing a high quality service to our clients and business partners. We are currently recruiting for a significant number of positions in a wide range of roles and would encourage suitable candidates to put themselves forward. “
Dezrez is based in Ethos, Kings Road, on SA1 Swansea Waterfront and its two founders – Justin Morris and Ian Pearce – began trading in 1999. The company is now one of the top two in its field.
