Small offices have seen a boom in popularity in Telford over the last few months with full occupancy being achieved at various locations. Anthony Wiggins, director at the recently expanded Wiggins Lockett Thompson, who deals with commercial property lettings for the firm said,
“There are a large amount of large offices available in Telford at the moment. You only have to look at buildings like the Plaza in Telford Town Centre when it gets dark to see just how many lights aren’t on to see the problem. Until recently there was a company in that building making smaller, affordable amounts of space available to companies needing small individual rooms but these have since closed down. Clients of ours have benefitted from this together with the surge in the Telford entrepreneurial spirit. Property owners offering small suites such as Resourcebank on Central Park, Grays (now Ramada) on Forge Gate and Maple, House on Queensway have seen their offices snapped up.
Remaining larger suites can now be considered for subdivision and both of our clients at RBR House on Central Park and at Maple House are shortly to undertake refurbishment to provide suites to satisfy this demand utilising modern partitioning that will remain reusable and adaptable for many years to come.”
Anthony believes that the demand for larger offices will return, as he confidently says such things do, but when, is anyone’s guess. In the meantime this space remains empty.
