Hale Construction’s expansion plans strengthened with appointment of Development Manager

Neath-based Hale Construction has created a new Development Manager role to consolidate the business’ plans for continued expansion.

David Harrhy joins the business from Gee Construction’s Bridgend base, where he developed a wealth of experience over 25 years with the company as Site Manager then Regional Director for the last 14 years.

With his regional construction expertise, David will spearhead Hale Construction’s expansion drive into broader geographical areas across Wales and the West of England as well as helping Hale diversify into new sectors.

Hale Construction was established in 1996 by managing director Jonathan Hale as a general building service with just one member of staff and has grown rapidly since, winning awards for its foresight and commitment to sustainable construction.
Mr Hale said: “We consider Dave a valuable acquisition by Hale and we are delighted to welcome him on board. Hale Construction is already benefitting from relationships and experience Dave has built over many years across the region.”
Seven Oaks joinery is the sister company of Hale Construction, and specialises in the manufacture of timber frames, high tech insulations and solutions for the sustainable construction sector. Trisowarm was create last year by Seven Oaks and is a highly specialised and advanced foam insulation system using factory-filled, pre-injected panels with the potential to ensure a top-of-the-range thermal conductivity. Hale properties are fitted with Trisowarm as standard.
Mr Harrhy added: “Hale Construction has an outstanding track record in producing quality developments within both the private and commercial markets.

“With the introduction of the Help to Buy Wales scheme, we have already seen an increase in requirements for new housing and are well placed to provide first class, sustainable properties.

“We are in the fortunate position with Seven Oaks Joinery being part of the group that timber frames can be produced swiftly and bespoke to our requirements as well as our supplying the general market.

“As Seven Oaks is on-site, we are also able to ensure minimal wastage. This enables us to retain our position as a market leader in sustainable construction, which is something many other construction companies strive for within the industry.

“We have a very healthy order book for 2014 and predictions indicate that we are on course to achieve a turnover in the region of £25m for 2014 and 15 with projects in Pembrokeshire, Swansea, Briton Ferry, Llandarcy and Neath and all beginning in early 2014. Negotiations are also well under way on projects within the Cardiff, Newport, Blaenau Gwent and Aberystwyth areas.”
