BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Simon Bailey as chief operating officer.
Simon, who has more than 20 years of experience as a CFO and a financial consultant, was the financial partner at King Sturge for nine years, where he helped manage the business and was jointly responsible for merger negotiations with Jones Lang LaSalle, as well as the general financial management of the company.
Most recently, Simon founded and managed his own consultancy: Financial Insight where he provided advice to a broad range of clients across the property, City PR and IT sectors, as well as overseeing the legacy issues for King Sturge following the merger with Jones Lang LaSalle.
BNP Paribas Real Estate’s UK CEO, John Slade, said: “We are pleased to welcome Simon into the business, as we continue to expand. His particular skills lie in financial management, negotiations and change management – all of which will come in very useful as we look to take the UK business to the next level as part of our ambitious development plan.”
In the last 18 months, BNP Paribas Real Estate has brought in more than 50 senior people, helping the company to transform into a major player in the UK, in keeping with its European leadership position.
