Kitchen supplier and joinery specialists, Howdens Joinery, recently opened their second depot in Newport, South Wales, taking 12,000 sq ft of space at Leeway Industrial Estate and commenced trading in December.
Parrys Commercial acted on behalf of the Landlord and Andrew Veitch of Montagu Evans acted on behalf of Howdens.
Alex Riddell, Senior Surveyor with Parrys Commercial said: “The letting to Howdens provides a good addition to the estate which has struggled with occupancy levels in recent times. This letting will hopefully lead the way for other trade counter occupiers to consider the benefits of the location.”
Mark Churchill, Head of Property at Howdens Joinery, said: “We have been looking for the right premises in this part of Newport to complement our existing depot on Maesglas Industrial Estate. This new depot will enable us to grow our business in Newport by serving existing customers and welcoming new customers. We are very pleased to have opened at Leeway as part of our on-going expansion programme.”
