An East Midlands property firm has bolstered its team going into the New Year after appointing experienced chartered surveyor Chris Taylor as a director.
Chris, a retail expert, joins Salloway Property Consultants, which has offices in Nottingham, Derby and Burton, from global giant Jones Lang LaSalle.
The move comes at a time when Salloway is preparing a clear strategy for growth following a number of large scale transactions and appointments over the past few months.
Chris said: “I have been working in the West Midlands market for the past four and a half years, but when the opportunity presented itself to move back to the East Midlands it made a great deal of sense.
“I am a true crossover in that I grew up in Nottinghamshire with family in Derbyshire, where I currently live, so I am very familiar with the market here.
“This new role as director at Salloway is an exciting one and I am very much looking forward to the challenge.”
Chris brings a wealth of experience, particularly within the retail sector having worked in shopping centre asset management and as retail management director in his previous roles.
Managing director Stephen Salloway said: “Chris’ appointment comes as part of our strategy to strengthen the team now that the property industry is showing clear signs of recovery. He is a highly acclaimed chartered surveyor, with a great deal of investment and agency experience within the Midlands, as well as his very strong retail credentials.
“I am delighted Chris has chosen to join Salloway as director and am certain that his experiences and proven track record will be of great benefit to our clients across the region.”
Chris arrives at Salloway just weeks after the appointment of Jenny Clarke as associate director from Lambert Smith Hampton in Nottingham and Leicester.
