A Derbyshire Public Relations Firm is today celebrating after opening its first office on Alfreton High Street and taking on a new member of staff.
The brainchild behind Poppy-PR, Miss Tina Clough (28), started the company that specialises in property PR in 2009, and has a variety of clients from fashion, lifestyle and travel.
After leaving two big Nottingham agencies, and finding that clients were following her around, Tina Clough, the owner of Poppy-PR, started the public relations company.
Securing fantastic new clients, including WorldSIM, Batchelor Pad Lettings, Forever Living, and working alongside WhitesFX, a local financial services company, enabled Poppy-PR to embark on the expansion.
Tina, who started life as a journalist at The Nottingham Evening Post, said: “I found out a friend was struggling financially so I sought help from my friends and family who all donated items to her.
“I then found out that her daughter was interested in a career in modelling, and with my excellent photography connections, I organised a free portfolio photo shoot for her with Michael Mills Photography, who later told us that he was going through a quiet time and wanted to raise his profile”
Tina then extended her help to Michael Mills by organising a group photo shoot for local models and photographers. After finding out all the photography spaces had been filled in just 24 hours, the Alfreton based photographer offered office space to the company so that it could carry on with its busy schedule and take care of internal operations.
Tina Clough, whose agency provides a PR package for both the SME and business start-up, added: “We are delighted to be expanding with the move to Alfreton High Street; a good central location with excellent links to the M1. Being in such a promising location, we are hoping to secure more local and national clients”
Poppy-PR recently employed Hannah Daykin (23), a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University, who will be writing and sending press releases, conducting social media research and helping to meet clients’ needs.
Tina, who has worked with Belvoir Lettings for the past five years, further added “The success of Poppy-PR has been ever on the rise and we are looking forward to the promising future ahead”
