Cushman & Wakefield acting for Burger King UK and franchisee groups Karali, KFG and CPL Foods has acquired five further sites in Haymarket, Leicester; Trinity Walk, Wakefield; Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, Wrexham; Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley; and The Arndale Centre, Accrington. The sites illustrate Burger King’s aggressive growth strategy of looking to add more than 200 locations to their portfolio in the next five years.
Burger King has also recently undertaken a programme of refurbishment works across their estate with the installation of the new “2020” corporate image which has seen sales increase in the re-fitted stores.
Thomas Rose of property adviser Cushman & Wakefield which is exclusively retained by Burger King UK said; “The BURGER KING® Brand continues to expand aggressively across the UK under all their formats – High Streets, Shopping Centres and Drive Thrus. We are looking for more sites in 2014 and look forward to reaching our goal of 200 new sites over five years.”
