The Cardiff office of independent property adviser GVA has promoted Owain Griffiths to the position of Director within its Planning Development and Regeneration team.
Owain joined GVA in 2001, and after five years in the company’s Bristol office, moved back to his home city of Cardiff to help develop the planning team’s capabilities there. As a result, he has been successful in growing the company’s public and private sector client base across both Wales and the South West.
Owain is professionally qualified as both a Chartered Town and Country Planner (MRTPI) and a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) – having graduated from University College London, and then undertaking further post-graduate studies at Reading University. Before joining GVA, he held a position with Winchester City Council.
“GVA has a highly respected planning capability both nationally and regionally. Owain has contributed greatly to its development, and has helped create one of the strongest planning teams in South Wales,” says Steve Gibbon, head of GVA’s Cardiff office. “His promotion to Director comes at an exciting time for the team here in Cardiff with a number of new recruits joining us over recent months.”
