UK-wide property experts Fisher German have secured a major new contract with the Environment Agency.
The company, which has 15 offices across England, was initially asked to provide professional project support and land agency services in the Midlands.
Now, Fisher German will be focusing on further parts of the Midlands and the Anglian region stretching from the Humber in the north to the Thames in the south and from the Welsh borders in the west to East Anglia.
Staff at five Fisher German offices in Ashby, Worcester, Stafford, Retford and Newark are carrying out the work which includes major infrastructure and flood risk management projects, property management advice and environmental schemes which are needed to comply with the European Water Framework Directive.
John Ikin, a partner at Fisher German’s office in Ashby de la Zouch, said the new work with the Environment Agency highlighted the professional expertise of its staff.
He said: “The contract builds upon work that we have already carried out in the Midlands although on a much larger geographic scale.
“During the tender process, the Environment Agency was particularly impressed by the quality of our staff and the geographical coverage we can provide in the regions where the work is being undertaken.
“All the work is centred on providing an opportunity to plan and provide a better water environment, focusing on ecology and flood risk management, and we are pleased to be playing our part in achieving that.
“We have a proven track record in delivering these services to large organisations to help ensure the correct systems and individuals are in place to meet their requirements.”
