A Coventry legal professional is celebrating after picking up a prestigious regional award.
Charlotte Fisher, a solicitor at Band Hatton Button on Warwick Road, has been named Warwickshire Law Society’s Young Lawyer of the Year 2013.
The 25-year-old was presented with the award during the Warwickshire Law Society’s Annual Dinner, which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Walsgrave.
She beat off competition from a host of legal professionals from across the region and was praised for her recent charity work including her appointment to the NSPCC Coventry and Warwickshire Business Group Board.
Charlotte works as part of the wills, trusts and probate team at Band Hatton Button after qualifying as a solicitor in July.
She was also previously appointed Chair of Warwickshire Law Society Young Lawyers Group where she continues to hold a committee position.
Charlotte said: “I am really honoured to have been selected for this award. There are so many talented young lawyers in this region and the competition was tough.
“It is a great personal achievement for me particularly as I only recently completed my training and qualified as a solicitor in July.
“I am extremely grateful to the partners at Band Hatton Button who nominated me for the award and I hope to continue to grow and develop within the firm as well as continuing with a number of committee roles outside of work hours.”
Philip Costigan, partner at Band Hatton Button said he is pleased that Charlotte’s hard work and commitment has been recognised by such a prestigious award.
“We are extremely proud of Charlotte for everything she has achieved this year. She continues to work closely with senior partners at the firm and has become a valuable asset to the team.
“She has been commended for her recent volunteer work at a charity dinner organised by the NSPCC and has also taken on a number of committee roles over the last year. We are certain Charlotte will continue to excel in the future.”
