Acting on behalf of HPH Ltd, property consultants Alder King have let 8 New Road in Chippenham to Pizza Hut Delivery.
HPH successfully obtained planning consent for change of use to A5 use and the restaurant chain has taken the 1,081 sq ft premises on a new 20 year lease.
Previously occupied by Bridge Brasserie, the prominent unit provides a 474 sq ft (44 sq m) bar and seating area at the front and 399 sq ft (37.12 sq m) of kitchen, ancillary areas and storage space at the rear. It proved a very successful pitch for Bridge Brasserie which has relocated to larger premises elsewhere in the town.
Alison Williams, associate at Alder King’s Swindon office, says: “Demand from food retailers for well-located sites remains encouragingly strong. This unit sits at the heart of a busy location popular with other restaurant and food-related businesses and benefits from a high volume of passing traffic and strong pedestrian footfall.”
Jon Osborne of Pizza Hut Delivery says: “We are delighted with our new premises. Demand is proving to be strong and we are already looking to recruit more delivery drivers.”
Pizza Hut has been joined by another new arrival on New Road. Tax Assist Accountants recently signed a five year lease on a 400 sq ft unit next door at number 7.
