As part of its on-going expansion plans, Voyage Care, the UK’s largest provider of support for people with learning disabilities, has relocated its head office to Lichfield South.
The company, which employs more than 7,000 people across the UK, has leased a 15,410 sq ft building on the campus-style business park.
Formerly based in three separate premises in Lichfield and Cannock, the new head office will enable Voyage to bring its senior management team and administrative functions together under one roof.
Commenting after the opening ceremony, letting agent John Griffiths of GBR Phoenix Beard who advised building owners Lingfield Assets LLP on the deal with Voyage said:
“Lichfield South is unquestionably one of the region’s premier campus-style business parks and Voyage’s move here demonstrates the resilience of the Lichfield South development. As well as being superbly located, offering national connectivity, the enduring appeal of Lichfield South is the design, quality and headquarters operation appeal of the office buildings.”
Jonathan Hart, Chief Executive of Lingfield, owners and developers of Lichfield South said:
“Lingfield has been investing in Lichfield South for 15 years. We are absolutely delighted to welcome Voyage Care to the Business Park which already boasts international companies NextiraOne and Parker Hannifin. Voyage has undertaken a first class and very impressive fit-out at this headquarters building and like all occupiers at Lichfield South will benefit from the strong geographical location together with the existing health club, hotel and restaurant facilities that Lichfield South offers.”
Kevin Roberts, Voyage Care’s chief executive said:
“In the last two years, our business has grown significantly requiring us to look for new premises that can support our long-term strategic plans.
We wanted to remain in the Lichfield area as it’s a good central location which gives us easy access to the homes and day centres we operate across the country. Equally, because the majority of our head office staff live locally, we wanted to minimise their journey times. Lichfield South suits our needs perfectly and our move here marks the start of a new and exciting chapter in Voyage Care’s history.”
The stylish offices, which are decorated with large canvasses featuring images of people supported by the company, were officially opened by Kevin Roberts and some of the people who attend a nearby Voyage Care day service.
