The latest addition to the Stourbridge office of a Midlands accountancy practice didn’t need to be given an A-Z of the town.
Ian Wilkins, who has joined Baldwins accountants in Copthall House, New Road, as an associate director lives in the town and is returning after 14 years away.
The 36-year-old said: “I feel like I have gone full circle having gained a great deal of experience and made many contacts along the way.
“It is great to come back to my local area where I originally started and this is a good career move.
“Baldwins is expanding at a steady rate throughout the Midlands which is extremely encouraging in these current economic times.
“I will be concentrating on client development to go out and bring in new clients as well as give advice to existing clients and moving forward with my portfolio.”
Mark Craddock, partner at Baldwins’ Stourbridge office, said Ian is a welcome addition to the team.
He said: “We work with local clients in a range of varied industries and from SMEs to multi-national companies.
“Ian’s knowledge of Stourbridge and the local area will be beneficial as well as his expertise of the industry as we pride ourselves on giving pro-active advice and shows our continuing investment into our Stourbridge office.”
After leaving school, Wilkins joined Folkes Worton chartered accountants in Stourbridge where he passed his Associate Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) qualification, before going on to work in Birmingham and Stourport on Severn.
