Acting on behalf of Orchard Street Investment Management, DTZ has successfully advised on a second letting in the same month at Gildersome Spur Industrial Estate in Leeds. Earlier this month a 20,000 sq ft warehouse / industrial facility was leased to Arc Building Solutions (a manufacturer of specialist building insulation products) and this has been quickly followed by the completion of a 6,000 sq ft letting to Alfons Haar, a German owned supplier of oil road tanker parts.
Signing a four year lease, Alfons Haar has relocated from its existing premises close to Leeds city centre to slightly bigger and more modern premises.
Gildersome Spur Industrial Estate is owned by Orchard Street’s client St. James’s Place UK plc and is the largest single owned industrial estate in Leeds comprising 470,000 sq ft in total. Strategically positioned adjacent to Junction 27 of the M62 / M621 motorway, the estate provides superb access to both Leeds city centre and the national motorway network.
Paul Mack, Head of the Yorkshire Industrial and Logistics team at DTZ, comments: “The quality of the refurbishment programme carried out at Gildersome Spur Industrial Estate is paying dividends with yet another transaction secured. Alfons Haar wanted better access to the regional motorway network and an upgrade from their existing facility. Gildersome Spur provided the perfect solution and we now have only two buildings left available.”
