A Redditch-based family business, being taken forward by the sons of the founder, has expanded into new facilities.
Flexel Ltd, which specialises in wiring assemblies, has doubled the size of its premises in a move to 10 Moons Park, Burnt Meadow Road, advised by property agents John Truslove.
The SME employs just eight people but is looking to take on a couple more.
“Such companies are the bedrock of the economy,” noted John Truslove partner Ian Parker. “Every extra job helps.
“Flexel is a well-established family concern which is prospering and deserves its success.”
Formerly in Studley, it was founded 27 years ago by Peter Neale who is now part-time with the business and looking to re-develop the original site. The company is now being run by his sons Tony and Phil from what is a more modern unit.
Besides wiring assemblies, it deals in cables and conduit systems, connectors, clips, locknuts and associated products.
Customers range from Tennant Company, a maker of road sweepers, shopping mall sweepers and other cleaning solutions, to compressor manufacturer CompAir.
Phil Neale said: “The new unit is right for us and gives us a good base from which to grow.
“We are a small family business that prides itself on friendly service and quality products.”
The 6,092 sq ft 10 Moons Park has been taken on a two year lease.
