Goadsby have donated £500 to Bournemouth Chest Diseases Charitable Trust (BCDCT) recently at Bournemouth Hospital. Pictured is Marcus Andrews FRICS (right) with Dr Jonathan Turner (left) and Dr Di Laws (Centre) of the Trust.
Marcus Andrews of Goadsby says “Dr Turner set up the BCDCT in 1989. In the late 1990’s there was a bequest of a dozen or so commercial investments. I was brought into sort out numerous property problems that came with the ‘gift’ including squatters”.
Ultimately, all were sold and much of the proceeds used to fund an extension at Bournemouth Hospital. Other monies were used to buy a replacement commercial investment let to Aviva Insurance; Goadsby manage the unit for BCDCT.
The Trust funds extra services and equipment for local patients with respiratory diseases above that normally provided by the NHS.
Dr Turner said “Without the care and professionalism of Goadsby, when we were gifted a number of shops and flats, we would not have seen such a substantial increase in value that has benefited, ultimately, the patients of Bournemouth Hospital”.
