An event to preview North Somerset’s new business development centre, The Hive, to the local business community is to take place at the Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare on the evening of November 21.
The event marks the first opportunity for start-up and growing businesses to find out about the flexible office space, virtual offices, hot-desking, meeting rooms and conference facilities that will be available when the The Hive opens in Spring 2014.
The centre is being built at Weston Park, part of the Junction 21 Enterprise area of Weston-super-Mare, on the former Weston airfield site, close to the Helicopter Museum.
The Hive aims to provide everything that North Somerset’s start-up, small and growing businesses need, all under one roof. Its business community will enjoy a wide range of services and facilities including on-site business support from North Somerset Enterprise Agency’s team, the latest in technology for high speed communications, a managed reception and events, networking and training regularly taking place.
“There’s already a great deal of interest in The Hive ahead of its opening in May and with just six months to go to occupancy, we felt that this would be an ideal time for businesses to be able to find out more about the workspace, business advice and growth support that will be available to them.” explains Angela Hicks, Chief Executive of North Somerset Enterprise Agency, the not-for-profit organisation with social objectives which has supported North Somerset’s start-up and small businesses for more than 25 years and which will own, manage and be based at The Hive.
“There is no other business centre in the region quite like The Hive and we look forward to telling our event guests more about what The Hive will offer and how it could help their businesses grow.”
The evening comprising short presentations and the opportunity to talk with and ask questions of The Hive’s management team will take place from 5.30 p.m. on 21 November. Businesses who would like to attend or would like more information on The Hive can contact Hazel Wintle on 01934 418118 or email: [email protected].
