Cushman & Wakefield, the world’s largest privately held commercial real estate services firm, has hired leading investment agent James Crawford from Savills. James Crawford joins Cushman & Wakefield as a Partner and Head of City Capital Markets in London.
James Crawford moves to Cushman & Wakefield after 16 years at Savills where he was a Senior Director in the City Investment Department. James has been in the City for 25 years where he has specialised in investment acquisitions and sales for a wide cross section of UK and international investors with a focus on the City of London. During his time at Savills he has co-ordinated Asian, Irish, South African and the Far Eastern investment into London.
James Crawford, will be head of Cushman & Wakefield’s City Capital Markets team in London working closely with Digby Flower who leads the firm’s London Markets’ operations. Together with Digby and other members of the senior team, James will spearhead the growth of the firm’s capital markets business in the City. James will also play a critical role in further strengthening Cushman &Wakefield’s leading global investment team working with colleagues across Europe, Asia and the Americas to ensure the firm is at the centre of global real estate capital flows.
Earlier this year Robert Murphy moved to Cushman & Wakefield from CBRE to head the City Development team and recently, Jack Simmons was hired from JLL to head Cushman & Wakefield’s London Residential team.

To date this year, Cushman & Wakefield has advised on some of the most high profile investment deals in the City including the sale of 10 Paternoster Square, the London Stock Exchange headquarters to Oxford Properties on behalf of Mitsubishi Estate Company for €280 million and the purchase of the freehold of 30 Crown Place on behalf of Samsung SRA Asset Management in its debut overseas acquisition.
