The operator of the world’s largest fleet of vessels serving the offshore energy industry has acquired new premises in Aberdeen.
Tidewater Support Services Limited, a subsidiary of Tidewater Inc, have taken an assignation of a lease on a 17,100 sq ft office, yard and storage facility at 1 Minto Place in Altens Industrial Estate from Stork Technical Services.
The site consists of a three storey 12,000 sq ft office pavilion, a 5,000 sq ft industrial unit and a self-contained yard, with annual rent at circa £300,000.
FG Burnett acted on behalf of Tidewater while Ryden, Jones Lang Lasalle and J&E Shepherd acted on behalf of Stork. The landlord of the development is IGNIS Asset Management.
FG Burnett associate, Dan Smith, said: “In the current tight market the availability of a quality property of this size in Aberdeen is few and far between. We are delighted to have secured this property which fits the profile of a well-established international company which is looking to expand its footprint in the UK.
“Our advice to companies considering a move to larger premises is to plan well ahead or risk the disappointment of being unable to fulfil your true potential in Aberdeen.”
