Somerset based property developer Summerfield are pleased to have handed over a cheque for £1,250 to local organisation Taunton Association for the Homeless (TAH) following a fundraising Boules tournament.
The tournament held at King’s College in Taunton in September was organised by Ben Trickey, Senior Development Surveyor at Summerfield, and was attended by over 150 people from the Somerset business community. Richard Lloyd, Chairman of Summerfield, said “It gives me immense pleasure on behalf of everyone who supported our recent boules tournament to donate much needed funds to TAH, a very worthy cause in the Taunton area.”
Justin Roxburgh, Chief Executive at TAH, said when receiving the cheque “We really are very grateful to Summerfield and the many other businesses involved in the charity boules tournament for making this tremendous donation towards our work. Donations such as this make such a difference to the work we undertake to house and support homeless people locally.
