A commercial and domestic cleaning company has appointed a new area manager to help the business achieve aggressive growth targets.
Mrs Bucket, which was set up by entrepreneur Rachael Flanagan in 2005, has appointed Maxine Coles-Parry, 24, from Newport, as area manager for Cardiff and the surrounding areas.
Maxine, who worked for Mrs Bucket as a cleaner whilst studying law at Swansea University, decided not to pursue a career within the legal sector and, instead, opted to join Mrs Bucket’s expanding management team.
She will now be responsible for managing the cleaners and contracts for Cardiff and the surrounding areas. This will involve visiting sites and pricing potential jobs as well as interviewing and training staff. Maxine will also liaise with clients on a daily basis, ensuring that Mrs Bucket’s high standards are constantly being delivered.
Maxine said: “I enjoyed working at Mrs Bucket during university and I’m now delighted to be given the role of area manager. The company values every member of staff and feels like a big family that all work together to achieve the best results. I think the knowledge and experience I built up as a cleaner will definitely help me in my now role overseeing the Cardiff area.
“I’m also excited to work closely with Rachael and to learn from her. It’s a great feeling to know that your ideas and thoughts are valued and are taken into consideration. I’m looking forward to the challenges the new role will pose and to being part of the company’s growth.”
Rachael Flanagan, managing director of Mrs Bucket, said: “I’m thrilled to be able to offer Maxine the new position. She has always worked hard and showed passion for Mrs Bucket and has some great ideas to help us with our growth plans. It is through the hard work of our staff that we have been able to grow the company to a £1.2 million turnover. Maxine’s wealth of cleaning experience will, no doubt, help her in her management responsibilities going forward.”
With offices in Cardiff and Swansea, in 2013, Rachael aims to grow Mrs Bucket’s turnover to £2m through continued expansion along the M4 corridor and the establishment of a base in Newport.
The growth strategy for 2013 focuses on expanding the commercial side of the business, which now represents 75 per cent of the company’s turnover, with particular attention on property and facilities management companies and schools.
