Seven Islamic finance specialists at premier regional law firm Foot Anstey have recently obtained the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ); a level 3 certificate globally recognised as the standard market qualification for Islamic finance practitioners run by the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
An international industry standard benchmark for Islamic bankers, the IFQ provides an additional level of expertise for our team of specialists, covering Islamic finance from both a technical and a shariah perspective.
Imam Qazi heads the Islamic finance team at Foot Anstey which includes banking, real estate and corporate lawyers and has seen significant growth in 2013. In the past 12 months alone, the Bristol based team have successfully closed over £200,000,000 worth of financing and investment deals for shariah compliant banks and Middle Eastern investors.
Imam commented “I was pleased to see that seven members of our Islamic finance team studied hard to obtain the IFQ. It demonstrates our genuine commitment to the Islamic finance concept as a serious alternative to conventional finance.”
