The Bristol office of Alder King has come top in the leading property publication Estates Gazette’s first Office Agents League Table. The Clifton-based firm, described by Estates Gazette as ‘the South West stalwart’, disposed of nearly one third of all office space in the city over a 12 month period ending June 2013.
Alder King transacted 39 deals totalling 244,929 sq ft of space, 88,419 sq ft more than its closest rival. Its largest qualifying deal was the sale of 100 Temple Street to Bristol City Council on behalf of Aviva Investors Property Trust which accounted for 70,000 sq ft of occupied floor space.
Simon Price, head of agency at Alder King, said: “We are delighted to have come top in this latest barometer of the commercial property market in Bristol. We are seeing encouraging signs of increased office activity with three speculative developments now underway in the city centre.”
The EGi research covered office disposals in Bristol postcodes BS1, BS2, BS4, BS8, BS16, BS32 and BS34.
