Conditional contracts have been exchanged to develop a new 30,000 sq ft car dealership to represent Volkswagen at Matford Green Business Park, Exeter. A detailed planning application has been submitted to the City Council.
Once planning consent is secured, infrastructure works to provide an access into the Business Park from Yeoford Way will commence. This will open up the 27 acre site, which could generate over 2,000 jobs.
The showroom will be located at the entrance to the new Business Park, fronting Bad Homburg Way, opposite the Jaguar and BMW showrooms.
The building will be the first on the Business Park, where planning consent exists for up to 500,000 sq ft of employment space, and 30,000 sq ft for a public house, restaurant and retail facilities to meet the needs of the substantial employment base of Matford and Marsh Barton.
Matford and Marsh Barton have the largest concentration of car showrooms in the South West, and Matford Green offers further high profile opportunities for new dealerships.
