Cushman & Wakefield, the world’s largest privately held commercial real estate services firm, has appointed Carl Foreman as a Partner and Head of UK Retail Property & Asset Management.
Carl will join Cushman & Wakefield in early 2014 after 8 years at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where he was a National Director in the UK Property & Asset Management team specialising in shopping centre management. A retailer by background, previous roles have included Investec and Colliers.
Carl will lead Cushman & Wakefield’s UK Retail Property & Asset Management team overseeing large property mandates and shopping centres and will focus on spearheading the growth of the business. This key hire follows the appointment of Richard Davies from Jones Lang LaSalle last year to head up the firm’s growing retail property & asset management business across EMEA.
Richard Davies, Partner & Head of Retail Property & Asset Management, EMEA: “Bringing Carl on board is in line with our strategic plan to invest in our UK retail asset management business. Carl brings the right skills and experience to further strengthen our existing team, develop closer synergies with our market leading retail agency and investment experts and accelerate our progress in this area.”
Polly Plunket-Checkemian, Partner and Head of Property & Asset Management in UK, said: “We have ambitious plans to grow our retail property & asset management business in the UK and we are delighted that Carl is joining us to spearhead our expansion in the UK.”
Cushman & Wakefield currently has around 7,000 property & asset management professionals world-wide, managing some 10,000 properties totalling 81 million sq m of building area.
