A renowned independent legal survey has recommended a Coventry law firm in more categories than any other practice in the city.
Band Hatton Button, based at Warwick Road in Coventry, has been named as one of the leading and most diverse firms in the West Midlands after it was listed in eight categories by The Legal 500 – a definitive guide to the capabilities of law firms across the UK.
The Legal 500 lists the top law firms in the UK and Band Hatton Button, which employs more than 70 staff, featured in more categories than any other law firm in Coventry.
Band Hatton Button was formed earlier this year following the merger of three Coventry law firms, Band Hatton, Button Legal and Varley Hibbs and its achievement cements Band Hatton Button’s reputation as one of the leading and most reliable legal practices in the region.
In this years listings the company was recommended in the commercial litigation, commercial property, debt recovery, charities, family, personal tax, trusts and probate, education and cooperate and commercial sectors.
It was also the only Coventry firm to feature in the corporate and commercial, commercial litigation, commercial property, charities and education sections.
Dawn Mobbs, partner at Band Hatton Button, was also singled out for praise by The Legal 500 which, when describing the firm’s work in the family field, said: “She is a collaborative lawyer, who has particular experience in financial relief on relationship breakdown, across divorce, cohabitation and civil partnership matters.”
Mark Moseley, managing director at Band Hatton Button, said the firm’s success in this year’s listings highlights its strength as one of the most diverse law firms in the region.
“We are delighted with the outcome of the latest Legal 500 survey which has yielded extremely positive results for the firm,” he said.
“It is a fantastic achievement for us to gain this sort of recognition from what many consider to be the bible of the legal profession.
“To be recommended in such a broad range of categories underlines the fact that the merger has only strengthened our operations, enabling us to continue to provide a diverse and high quality service to our clients.
“We have a proud reputation of delivering excellent standards of service in everything we do and we will be aiming to build on this in the future.”
