A prestigious architectural metalwork firm has moved into a state-of-the-art business and IT centre in Telford.
Scala Vetro is the latest tenant to move into Maple House on the Queensway Business Park.
The company is a leading manufacturer of staircases, balustrade, balconies, entrance canopies and architectural metalwork.
Ian Plant, contracts manager at the firm, said: “The success of our company is growing and our base in Newport was no longer meeting all of our needs.
“Moving to Maple House will allow us to increase the size of our team and more importantly to allow the company to expand to cope with the demand for our services.
“Maple House was perfect for what we needed, both in terms of the location and the facilities it offers. It is second to none.”
Scala Vetro has had a number of successful contracts with both private and public sector clients.
It has also worked on a number of listed buildings, including Wallis House in London; Queensgate Place, Kensington and Vaughan’s Mansion in Shrewsbury.
Mike Cosgrove, of Bookkeeping business Cosgrove and Cosgrove Ltd, which was the first to move into the revamped building, said he was delighted to be joined by the new tenants.
He said: “The success of Maple House is growing all the time as more businesses hear about and see the excellent facilities we have.
“We have already had an unprecedented amount of interest from companies which in turn will see it become one of the premier business and IT centres in the region.”
Training company Positive Safety Training has also recently moved into the building which also boasts the SoFood! restaurant for tenants, visitors and is also open to the public and offers a delivery service.
Mr Cosgrove added: “To have such reputable companies move into Maple House is fantastic and we wish them every success here.
“We are having new companies visit and enquire every day and the corporate catering from the restaurant has also become very busy in recent weeks.”
