Acting on behalf of administrators Ernst & Young LLP, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Industrial & Logistics team in Leeds has completed the freehold sale of Unit 2, Speedwell Road in Castleford adjacent to Wakefield Europort.
The single storey property, which comprises 27,871 sq ft of warehouse/distribution space, has been acquired by Sensio for an undisclosed sum. The Castleford based company, which manufactures and wholesales high quality lighting solutions for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms will use the site as its new headquarters.
Lauren O’Toole, surveyor at Jones Lang LaSalle in Leeds, said: “Freehold opportunities of this size along the M62 are relatively rare and we subsequently received strong levels of interest for the unit which is well positioned adjacent to Wakefield Europort.”
Jones Lang LaSalle and joint agents Sanderson Weatherall are currently marketing further sites at Wakefield Europort, on behalf of the administrators, with units ranging from 37,000 sq ft to 281,000 sq ft in size.
