A Silicon Valley global technology company has signed a 10 year lease in what is Bristol’s largest occupier deal so far in 2013 and the largest seen in North Bristol for over a year.
Nvidia, a world leader in the manufacture of graphics processing units (GPUs), has taken the entire building at 930 Aztec West, totalling 30,713 sq ft, as its new UK headquarters, moving from its current location at The Quadrant, also on Aztec West.
The Grade A, three-floor 930 Aztec West, built by developer BAM Properties, occupies a prominent position on the south eastern corner of the park overlooking Park Drive and includes parking space for up to 122 cars.
Chris Grazier, director in the Bristol office agency of leading independent commercial property consultants Hartnell Taylor Cook, which acted on behalf of BAM Properties, said: “In what remains a fairly flat market it’s extremely encouraging to be able to announce such a significant office deal – the largest occupier deal of 2013 in Bristol and the biggest for North Bristol in over a year.”
He added: “Nvidia is a globally-recognised name in the field of advanced technology and it speaks volumes for the city, and Aztec West in particular, that the UK arm of this expanding company has decided to commit itself to Bristol for the next decade.
“What this also underlines is the area’s strategic importance and this announcement bolsters our growing reputation as the UK’s home for innovation and technology.”
