Octavian Security has been announced as the new provider of security for the famous Matlock Bath Illuminations in Derbyshire.
Derbyshire Dales District Council has appointed Octavian, one of the UK’s most forward thinking security firms, as the provider of safety stewarding and cash in transit services for the event.
Octavian stewards will be present throughout to offer security and assistance to the general public. They will also be available to give information and directions as part of the contract.
Commenting on the new contract, Octavian’s commercial director Tony Mellor said:
“As this is a family event, the organisers were looking for a security company to provide stewards who would behave with the upmost diplomacy and sensitivity, whilst still ensuring that the public are thoroughly protected.

From highly trained safety stewards to traffic management, we cover every ‘hands-on’ role including providing information and directions to the public, as demonstrated in our work at the Matlock Illuminations.”
