The growing team at Plum Communications & PR have this week welcomed a new member of staff on board, with the appointment of an Account Executive who will continue the integrated agency’s growth and success across the South West.
Angela Cassidy will be supporting Plum’s busy Account Management team, having already had a successful career working as an experienced Radio Presenter and Media Executive in both Weston-super-Mare and Dorset. Regular listeners in the region will already be familiar with Ange as she has been the most listened to presenter across the South West for Star, Nova and Fire radio stations in recent years. This experience has provided Ange with a solid understanding of the importance of communication:
“I’m excited to be joining this young and successful agency here in Weston-super-Mare, and am so pleased to have been welcomed into the friendly team” said Ange, who started work with Plum this past week. “I was attracted to the role at Plum after watching their success over the past three years and recognising their achievements within the local area. I look forward to sharing my media and radio experience with the team and helping them continue to grow”.
Ange’s appointment comes at a great time for Plum, who have recently celebrated being shortlisted for two 2013 CIPR South West PRide awards – including their successful Integrated Campaign for the Love Weston Winter Wonderland last year. This is the third year in a row that the growing agency has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) for their contribution to the industry.
The agency, which was founded in 2010, specialises in property, housing and tourism PR and marketing, boasting a diverse client base throughout the South West including Spectrum Housing Group, Summerfield Developments, North Somerset Council and a range of SMEs operating in various sectors. Plum’s continued success has also led to the agency being named a finalist for the ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy’ award at the 2013 CIPR South West PRide Awards which take place in Bristol this November.
Karen Morledge, Managing Director of Plum, said of the new appointment:
“We are so pleased that Ange has joined us, bringing with her a wealth of experience of the local market and of our specialist sectors. As we continue to grow and develop across the coming years, this new role will see Ange provide support to the team, as well as bolstering our client offering even further through her unique broadcast insight”.
The team at Plum offer a range of services to local businesses, including PR strategy, social media marketing, crisis communications planning, design, website development, and copywriting.
