A major event focusing on economic growth across Coventry and Warwickshire is being held next week to help decide how 136million Euros will be spent.
The funding will be available in the next round of European money covering the period 2014-2020.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership consultation is taking place on Monday, August 5 at the Technocentre at Coventry University’s Technology Park.
Key figures from both the public and private sectors are invited to the event which will focus on local priorities for growth including the identification of priorities for investment and potential actions for the money notionally allocated to Coventry & Warwickshire from the EU Structural and Investment Funds.
Adam Dent, managing director at Advent Communications, will be facilitating the event which will begin at 9am.
The itinerary includes presentations by key figures including John Latham, deputy vice chancellor at Coventry University, who leads for CWLEP on the strategy and will be leading this event.
Clive Winters, assistant director of Coventry University Enterprises, will also be in attendance to talk about local economic trends.
Discussion sessions will also be held providing a brief overview and setting initial priorities on the six themes that are involved; research, development and innovation; information and communication technologies; SME competitiveness; low carbon; employment and social inclusion; and finally education, skills and lifelong learning.
Attendees will also be provided with the opportunity to give feedback on the sessions and a networking lunch will be held to conclude the event.
