South Wales law firm, JNP Legal, has raised £265.26 for children’s rights charity, Tros Gynnal Plant, after holding a walking treasure hunt through Cardiff city centre.
The treasure hunt began at The Royal Hotel on St Mary’s Street and contestants followed clues around central Cardiff. The winner was awarded a treasure chest full of chocolate coins and there was an open bar and a raffle back at the hotel for teams to relax and congratulate themselves on their detective work.
Tros Gynnal Plant is JNP Legal’s chosen charity, selected for the fantastic work it does to protect and promote children’s rights in Wales. The law firm holds many fundraising events for the organisation throughout the year, including a curry and quiz night which this year raised £790.
Penny Newman, partner at JNP Legal and Tros Gynnal Plant trustee, said: “The treasure hunt was a great success. It gave people the chance to explore Cardiff, raise money for a brilliant charity and enjoy a relaxing evening at The Royal Hotel. The turnout was excellent with many people entering as a team and some entering as individuals. The money raised will help Tros Gynnal to carry on doing the excellent work they already do with children in need.”
Jackie Murphy, director of Tros Gynnal Plant, added: “We are delighted that JNP decided to choose us again this year. They are an excellent legal team and we feel their values are aligned with our own. We are very grateful for their continued support and advice as well as all the fundraising activities they undertake on our behalf.”
