Specialist commercial property and planning law firm Davitt Jones Bould has scooped a major award from The Lawyer after being named National Boutique of the Year in the magazine’s annual awards. The property law specialist was also runner up for Real Estate Team of the year in the awards, which were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair on Tuesday 25th June.
Davitt Jones Bould, which is headquartered in the southwest, is the largest niche firm of real estate lawyers outside of London and is entirely focussed on real estate. Its clients include high profile names in both the public and private sectors.
The company advised on 40 of last summer’s Olympic and Paralympic events as well as the Bomber Command memorial for the Royal Parks, which was unveiled by the Queen in June last year. The company is also currently advising on the Taunton £21 million Northern Inner Distributor Road project which has an estimated development potential of £300 million. It is one of four major highway projects on which the firm is advising.
Davitt Jones Bould chief executive Peter Allinson said: “We are thrilled to have not only been recognised as national boutique of the year but also to be a runner up in the real estate team of the year category. The calibre of entries was fantastic and the recognition of the quality of our team, which we have built up over the last 14 years, was well deserved.”
