Redditch racing driver John Truslove will be following up on his hat trick of wins in the E-type Challenge when he takes on the mighty Nurburgring race track where the recent German Grand Prix was held.
On the weekend of August 13-14 he is racing over the same track that saw Sebastian Vettel triumph early in July but first he is competing in the Tourist Trophy at Silverstone on Sunday, July 28.
The chartered surveyor who runs the ubiquitous business property consultancy of the same name has been racing in historic cars for a number of years.
His latter day racing career includes successes in the Formule Junior category Grand Prix Historique series in which he drove an Elva DKW and Brabham BT-6, both from the 1960s.
He was the 2006 British Formula Junior Champion and is now racing a 1963 registered E-type with a 3.8 litre engine which has been prepared by John Arnold at Revival Motorsport based at Mallory Park in Leicestershire.
John Truslove said: “Both the Tourist Trophy at Silverstone and the next round of the E-Type Challenge at the Nurburgring will provide fascinating challenges, and I am hoping we can build on the successes of our season so far.”
