CfBT Education Trust has taken a lease of office premises at 10 Drake Walk on the Waterfront 2000 development in central Cardiff.
Knight Frank advised landlord Ceredig Estates on the deal to let the 2,481 sq ft offices space with eight car parking spaces on a new five year lease.
The tenant is a not-for-profit organisation that provides education for public benefit, throughout the UK and has worked in more than 40 countries around the world. Established over 40 years ago CfBT Education Trust now employs more than 2,000 staff worldwide supporting educational reform, teaching, advising, researching and training. Their work includes managing large government contracts and providing education services as well as managing directly a growing number of schools
Mark Sutton, associate at Knight Frank, said: “This building was a great fit for CfBT – their own front door, a combination of open plan and quality partitioned offices over three floors and generous on-site parking.
“The Waterfront 2000 development offers occupiers modern, self-contained office suites within easy reach of the city centre. We received significant interest in 10 Drake Walk following a comprehensive refurbishment, and the standard of the accommodation along with a very fast turnaround were key in securing this tenant.”
Opportunities remain within the estate and nearby for occupier requirements from 700 sq ft upwards.
