A specialist provider of event and exhibition services to the agricultural industry has moved into a new operational base at Stoneleigh Park.
Jimmy Birchmore Events has consolidated from several smaller units into one larger base on the Warwickshire estate to accommodate its expansion.
The move is a significant development for the company founded by Jimmy Birchmore in 2009 to provide event, exhibition and design services operating primarily in the agriculture and food, environment and land-based sectors.
Jimmy worked at Stoneleigh Park for almost a decade, mainly for the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) prior to setting up his own business and was involved in the organisation of the Royal Show and technical events.
He continues to work on a contract basis for RASE and recently supported its technical events team in the delivery of Pig & Poultry LIVE held at Stoneleigh Park in May.
Jimmy said: “Working at Stoneleigh Park for such a long time enabled me to get to know a lot of people in the agricultural industry and when I set up my business, it made sense to develop those connections by having a base on the estate.
“We started using some of the smaller units for storage and that has gradually expanded to the point where we needed to consolidate into a larger single operational base.
“It gives us the extra capacity to cope with increased demands for exhibition equipment storage and working space leading up to our busiest times such as in June with major farming events like the Royal Highland Show and Cereals.
“It will help us to become more efficient and provide a better service to our clients as the business moves further forward.”
Supporting agricultural enterprises is a focus of the transformation of Stoneleigh Park into a centre for rural innovation and science by LaSalle Investment Management, under a 150-year lease from RASE.
It will be the central hub of the Rural Growth Network in Warwickshire which will see the creation of a new innovation centre to support small businesses working in the rural arena.
Colin Hooper, Estates Director at Stoneleigh Park, said: “Stoneleigh Park is already home to 65 businesses employing more than 1,100 people and our plans to revitalise the estate will create more business and employment opportunities.
“With an extensive range of units on site we are able to adapt with growing businesses like Jimmy Birchmore Events and accommodate their changing needs brought on by expansion.”
Stoneleigh Park is part of the Business Environments for Science and Technology (BEST) Network, a nationwide portfolio of six science and technology parks assembled by LaSalle.
Jimmy added: “As a small company this is a big step for us, however I am very positive about LaSalle’s development of Stoneleigh Park as an agricultural hub which means being based here makes even more sense.”
