Runners taking part in the 10th Blythe Valley Business Park Charity Fun Run later this year will be helping Harry to help others.
Event organisers Blythe Valley Park and Shirley Lions Club have announced all entry proceeds will be donated to inspirational 11-year-old Harry Moseley’s charity Help Harry Help Others.
The event takes place on Sunday, September 15 and as in previous years will include a 500m fun run for children and 5km and 10km races around the countryside and pathways of Blythe Valley Park, which is just off junction 4 of the M42.
Kate Smith, from Blythe Valley Park, said: “Help Harry Help Others is a fantastic charity and is doing a tremendous amount of work to help find a cure for Brain Cancer and support children and their families affected by cancer.
“The courage and bravery Harry showed during his battle with cancer was remarkable and we’ll be going all out to raise as much money as we can to help his charity and are urging people to get their running shoes on and do the same!
“Every year we get great support from businesses on the park and people all over the region and it would be great if we could celebrate a record number of runners for the 10th anniversary event.”
Gillian Conlon, vice-president of Shirley Lions Club, who takes the reins as president in July, added: “The Blythe Valley Park Charity Fun Run is a great event which brings together the local community.
“The run helps raise funds for really worthwhile causes and we’re looking forward to supporting a special charity in Help Harry Help Others.”
