Hundreds of business people from across Coventry and Warwickshire got ‘well connected’ at a major event.
Around 300 firms attended the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business and Trade Expo at Mallory Court Hotel in Leamington.
The event was opened by Chris White, the MP for Leamington and Warwick, Amrik Bhabra, president of the Chamber and Sir Peter Rigby, the chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP.
As well as visiting 60 trade stands and finding out more about the benefits of being a member of the Chamber, delegates could also attend master-classes on social media and international trade.
Louise Bennett, chief executive of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are very well known as the voice for business across this patch but this event was very much about companies coming together, talking and looking to trade with one another.
“Our colleagues at the British Chambers of Commerce are very much highlighting how Chambers across the country keep their members well connected and this event was a case-in-point.
“It was a huge success and we are delighted to have attracted so many businesses to the event.”
Sophie Howe, mid-Warwickshire branch chair of the Chamber, also spoke at the event.
Sir Peter Rigby, chair of Coventry and Warwickshire LEP, said: “It is very uplifting to see so many vibrant business attending the Chamber Expo, and we are delighted the Chamber chose Mallory Court to host this important annual event.
“Everyone present at the Expo has a commitment to Coventry and Warwickshire and an interest in seeing it thrive. I am personally involved in several business which have invested heavily in this area so I am equally keen to see us with an expanding business base.
“The Coventry and Warwickshire LEP is working closely with the Chamber and others to ensure that companies of all sizes are aware of, and benefit from, the work we are doing to drive forward the economy.”
