A team of financial experts has become a bona fide supporter of a charity challenge with a canine edge.
Harrison Beale and Owen (HB&O), which has offices in Coventry and Leamington, has lent its support to The Heart of England Community Foundation and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance charity dog walk.
The event will take place during the Pet Show at Stoneleigh Park, in Warwickshire, on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 and the team at HB&O has pledged their support by providing volunteers to help on the day and in assisting with printing and publicity costs.
Rob Kendall, managing director at HB&O, said: “When we heard about the charity dog walk we were more than happy to offer our support.
“The Heart of England Community Foundation is our nominated charity for 2013 and this is the latest in a series of events we plan to support over the coming months.
“Not only is this something a bit different, it will also raise money for organisations which contribute a great deal to the local community and we are proud to offer them our support.”
The Pet Show will see a range of family activities and shows on offer – from Britain’s Got Talent’s Ashleigh and Pudsey to birds of prey displays.
Thousands are expected to attend across the weekend and the charities are inviting dog owners to take part in a 1km walk around the grounds to raise money for their good causes.
Anyone who books a ticket in advance via the hotline 0844 581 4965 can request to take part in the dog walk and that will mean £5 of the entrance fee will be split between Air Ambulance and the Heart of England Community Foundation.
For those paying on the gate, the key word ‘WALKIES’ will need to be mentioned when paying for the ticket and the pet owner will be given a voucher to take part in the dog walk.
The walk will take place across the two days and timings will be decided once it becomes clear how many dog owners wish to take part.
