Redditch company IO Studios has designs on boosting business after expanding into new premises in the town.
The move, put together with the help of property agents John Truslove, is down to the web designer winning larger contracts, partly on the back of the growth in internet shopping.
Managing director Tom Floate, whose wife Rachel is finance director, said: “We were taking on extra staff and new premises were vital.”
Ben Truslove, director at John Truslove, said: “It is great to see a local company flourishing on the back of internet technology.”
IO Studios have relocated to 6 Empire Court, close to the Town Centre, having previously being based in Greenlands Business Centre.
They recently took on two extra people and are in the process of recruiting another two, which will take the total number of employees to 11.
Services include web design, search engine optimisation and social media, content management systems, e-commerce and on-line shops, website hosting and bespoke software applications.
Mr Floate said: “Using the latest technologies we design class-leading websites and software that are focused on delivering results and return on investment. Our websites are functional, interactive and search engine friendly … which is why, we believe, more work is coming our way.
“Our team of developers, designers and marketeers can help create anything from a standard brochure style website to a fully fledged on-line shop serving thousands of products. On-line shopping continues to be a big growth area.
“From our offices in Redditch we serve clients throughout the UK.”
IO Studios has taken 1,214 sq ft on a three year lease.
John Truslove have two other suites available at Empire Court, just off Prospect Hill, both of which are available at a rent of £5 per sq ft.
Empire Court is part of the historic British Mills complex – made famous in the best-selling novel Young Jethro by Redditch author Roy Clews.
